Windows XP

Windows XP not being supported by Microsoft

As of April 14th, 2009 Microsoft will no longer be supporting Windows XP Operating system with mainstream support.  This means there will no longer over the phone support calls, no regular security fixes, and there will not be any bug updates.  Of course as a customer you can pay for the extended warrantee program and Microsoft can create new “non-security fixes”.

The seven-year-old operating system, makes up for over 63 percent of all Internet operated computers.  The new Microsoft operating system Visa, only accounts for 24 percent of Internet operated computers.  In ordered to stay “covered” by Microsoft customers have the option to upgrade to Vista or Windows 7 (which has not been released yet).
