"Latitude" was just launched by Google as its new version of social mapping. It is an application that allows you to see your friends exact location on a Google map. They are able to see exactly where you are as well. If you do not want them to be able to loacte you, you can simply X them out or adjust your privacy settings. All it takes is typing your mobile phone number into the box on the site www.google.com/latitude and downloading the application from the link that is sent to your phone. Once you invite your friends to do the same, you will be able to see eachother. This application seems pretty interesting and when I get internet access on my phone, the first thing I will do is start using Google Latitude.
