Why social networking sites are good for the Kids

A professor of synaptic pharmacology at Lincoln College, Oxford and the director of the Royal Institution, is interviewed as to why she loathes sites such as Facebook, Flickr, Bebo, etc. Examples she includes are the poor grammar, lack of attention span, sensationalism, inability to empathize; as well as a shaky sense of identity. The article then shifts focus to then talk about the positive aspects of social networking; and how by using such sources users are part of the transition from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0
